Idaten started operating in 2008 as a total web services company. With the stable and rapid development, up to now, Idaten has been operating two main service areas, including: Web media operation service and Homepage construction service.
“Unique Creativity - Inimitable Services” is its motto in providing comprehensive web services. Yukihiro Tamoto, Representative Director of Idaten said that the company wants the types of business and services offered to customers to have unique values, support each person's life and culture, heading toward a more sustainable society.
That motto has been clearly expressed in all four websites that Idaten is operating: Nihonbashi Art, Mr.Beauty, Bengoshi and especially Nihonbashi Art Utsuwa.
Nihonbashi Art Utsuwa - a website developed by Rabiloo - has the concept of inheriting and preserving Japanese culture. This is a website focusing on introducing and selling products of ceramics, glass, and lacquered wooden items. According to Ms. Yamazaki, who is in charge of operating Idaten's media websites, the products posted on Utsuwa are unique products that can be easily found in supermarkets or stores. They are items of high cultural and aesthetic value which were meticulously crafted by artisans.
Idaten noticed that most of the artisans who create these products are not familiar with intelligent technology and the Internet. Although they are dedicated to creating high-quality works, they and their products are hardly widely known. That is why the website Nihonbashi Art Utsuwa was born, with the hope that more and more artisans will be known and recognized, and to support them to post and sell the products they make
Mr. Takahashi who is in charge of Idaten's new service business development believes that a good E-commerce website must be evaluated by whether it brings the desired results or not. For example, the Nihonbashi Art Utsuwa targets two groups: those who create products and want to sell the products (artisans) and those who buy the products. The artisan group has difficulties in reaching their customers; meanwhile, the group of shoppers wants a website that makes it easy to find suitable products. Nihonbashi Art Utsuwa has done well by meeting both needs: being a space to organize exhibitions, posting interviews with artists to convey the meaning of the products and helping them become widely known. Simultaneously, the website is a place to introduce products that have been carefully selected by Idaten, thus giving users products that they cannot easily find when shopping normally.
According to Ms. Yamazaki's, since Idaten launched the Utsuwa website, Idaten has witnessed many positive changes. In just the first week of selling products on the Nihonbashi Art Utsuwa, 34 artists' products were bought by customers, an unexpected number.
Utsuwa is a website developed by Rabiloo. As of now, the Nihonbashi Art Utsuwa website is in the maintenance and operational support phase. According to Mr. Takahashi, in the upcoming time, Idaten will certainly need Rabiloo’s support to develop media products inside and outside the company. The immediate task is to improve and renovate current media pages. Idaten expressed his desire to continue to cooperate with Rabiloo in projects that create impact and contribute meaningful values to society.
